Anti-Social Media

  • Anti-social media is my solution to avoiding traditional social media platforms — I decided to dedicate a page on my website to things I’d normally post on social media.

I work really hard to curate my social media profiles as an extension of my portfolio, but social media websites have changed significantly since their conception.

Social media platforms are constantly taking advantage of their users, feeding their hard work to AI for training, changing the algorithm so it’s hard to grow an organic following, and preventing work from being seen if you aren’t paying for it.

I want my anti-social media to feel like a slower, intentional space for art and ideas. Check back here anytime for updates! Think of this as my personal, algorithm-free social media feed!

  • Every time I go on Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Reddit, etc., I find myself over-inundated with negative news that is designed to scare, enrage, discourage, and keep us engaged with these apps.

While I always want to stay aware of what is happening in the world to help advocate for a better future for everyone, the current purpose of social media is to simply fund billionaires’ bank accounts while they continue to widen the gaps in wealth inequality and disparity.

Meta and billionaires are purposely pitting ordinary people against one another for profit. I don’t want to contribute to this.

Additionally, I don’t want my work used by people who are actively doing everything in their power to prevent social progress and the betterment of the world around them.

  • While I still feel obligated to keep my traditional social media accounts for the purposes of legitimacy, organic marketing, SEO, and connecting with friends and clients, I want to have more control over my work and its presentation.

I don’t want to have to worry about my work being removed or not being seen by people who wish to follow my journey as an artist.

  • I send out ONE (at best) email a month with all my website updates, including blog posts, new “anti-social media” posts, store updates, events, and more.

If you want to support my work, please subscribe below! I promise you, I won't clutter your inbox, use your data, or sell your information; I just want to share my hard work with people who appreciate it!

Want to connect and talk about the posts? Email me!

I'm tired of feeding billionaires’ horrifying agendas and having my art fed to AI.

If you still want to follow my traditional social media profiles, you can find me @brianaraucci on Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, TikTok, Pinterest & YouTube…but you should subscribe to my newsletter above instead :)
