Nadia’s Beauty Spot

I had the best time photographing talented hair & makeup artists, along with beautiful models, for a styled shoot at Nadia’s Beauty Spot in Branford, Connecticut. As a Connecticut wedding photographer, I love collaborating with local wedding vendors and sharing their work in a way that feels genuine to the experience. Each and every person here is incredibly talented, and I’d absolutely recommend Nadia’s Beauty Spot for bridal hair and makeup, special events, and wedding-day beauty needs.

When I first saw Nadia’s work, I immediately knew it would look beautiful on film, so we decided to collaborate on a styled shoot together. Photographing her team in my usual candid, documentary style, you get a behind-the-scenes look at what it’s really like to have an appointment at NBS. It’s light-hearted, welcoming, and a genuinely fun place to be…not to mention the lighting there is absolutely dreamy!

Once hair and makeup were finished, we took a few portraits in the Suite at Nadia’s Beauty Spot. It was such a blast to shoot! I loved capturing candid moments on 35mm film, medium format 120mm film, and digital, letting everything unfold naturally.
